Welcome to Reception
During their time in reception your child will learn to be strong and independent. We provide rich learning opportunities through play and playful teaching. Children are well supported to take risks and explore in our warm and loving atmosphere, allowing their potential to soar!
We plan learning around the children’s interests, creating a stimulating environment, both indoor and outdoor, so they are always engaged and eager to learn. Children can snuggle up with a book in our cosy reading area, make pictures and models in the creative area and explore in the water and investigation zones. We have maths and Read Write Inc sessions every day and we can use the resources in our environment to practice and develop our new skills. We also learn outdoors where we can build, run, jump, write and so much more!
We encourage a strong partnership between home and school.

Communication
Keep up to date with everything that is going on in your child’s classrom via our private class Facebook groups. Ask your child’s teacher for more information on how to join the group if you haven’t already.
