Thames Primary Academy & Nursery are proud to deliver all our meals in house. Our catering manager, Angie Hickson, and her team are passionate about delivering both healthy and great tasting food for our children. We use only the best ingredients from suppliers who ensure quality fresh produce is delivered.
A desire to deliver innovative food and service solutions to the highest standard is the driving force behind everything we do. Over 80% of meals are freshly prepared from unprocessed ingredients and meals contain no undesirable food additives or trans fats.
Thames Primary Academy attach great importance to the provision of meals in the school to ensure that the meals are always healthy and balanced. We have a dedicated team, who work hard to produce a wide variety of meals for both students and staff, and all of our food is cooked fresh each day. Our food passion is shared by everyone within our catering team.

All children are supervised at lunchtimes by our Play Leaders.
All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are offered a free school meal each day, unless you choose to opt out.
All pupils in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 can choose to have a school meal (free to those eligible or just £2.40 per day) or bring a packed lunch.

School meal options are as follows:-
Have a school lunch - Healthy, great tasting home cooked meals are available and served in the dining hall, cooked by our dedicated catering manager and team.
Bring a packed lunch - please ensure if you choose this option it is a healthy and balanced meal to help your child get the best from their classroom time too.

Arbor Parent Portal & Arbor App

The school operates a ‘cashless system’ for school meals, where parents can pay securely by card to top up their child’s account using the portal or app from home.

The Arbor Parent Portal & Arbor App also allows you to check your child’s meal balance as well as other great school features.

An email with full details on how to access Arbor Parent Portal and the Arbor App will be issued to you when your child starts our school.
