Uniform Policy

At Thames Primary Academy we wear our uniform with pride.

School uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of the school and setting an appropriate tone. Uniform can instill pride, support positive behaviour and discipline, encourage identity with, and support for our school.

Most items of our uniform can be bought from any of the main supermarkets and chain stores. Thames v-neck sweatshirts, cardigans, ties and tracksuits can be purchased from 1st Class Kids, 106-108 Highfield Rd.

Footwear for both boys and girls should be smart, black, sensible school shoes, preferably not slip on style for girls and NO trainers or trainer style shoes.

Children are allowed to wear a small, single pair of stud earrings and wristwatch, which must be removed for PE and any sports events. All other jewellery is not permitted.

Our children wear their full Thames PE kit all day and trainers on their PE days and when we go on outdoor education visits and trips.

All your child’s belongings should be clearly named so that they can be returned to you should they go missing.
